Context
Wrestlemania 33 had a triple threat match for the tag team titles. The New Day - came out as hosts to announce a fourth team was about to be added. Instead of the New Day adding themselves to the match, the legendary Hardy Boyz came out to a massive and unexpected pop. One of the biggest in modern wrestling history. The Hardy Boyz had been away from WWE for several years before returning to win the tag titles on their first night back with the company. A legendary and unexpected Wrestlemania moment from one of the biggest tag teams in the Attitude Era.
Did You Know?
The Hardy’s had wrestled the Young Bucks in Ring of Honor the night before. Which probably added to the surprise level when their music hit.
