Pop: Triple H Returns from Injury – WWE Raw, Madison Square Garden (2002)

Context

After being out for around 8 months with a torn quad, Triple H returned to Monday Night Raw at Madison Square Garden in 2002 to a monstrous ovation from the fans. Despite being the company’s top heel, the fans showed their appreciation for one of the biggest stars of the attitude era. Triple H had injured himself in a tag match on Raw and managed to finish the match. There’s a saying in wrestling, how can I miss you if you are never gone. The fans made it clear how much they missed Triple H that night in New York.

Triple H moved to Alabama for his surgery and rehab. Focusing completely on getting back to his best for his return.

Why You Should Watch

Interesting to see a crowd going crazy for one of the biggest heels of all time. The audience shows their appreciation and Triple H laps it up on an emotional return to the WWE.
