Match: Ricky Steamboat vs. Randy Savage – WrestleMania III (1987)
Context
The build for Wrestlemania III was all about Hogan vs Andre, however the best wrestling match on the card was Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat vs. “Macho Man” Randy Savage. A technical match that was built on a fast paced encounter with precise moves that ended in many near falls. Two great wrestlers putting on an in ring clinic at the biggest event of the year.
Did You Know?
Savage was known for planning out his matches, something that wasn’t that common at the time. Steamboat has said on several occasions that Randy came to him with the match worked out move by move.

A must see Wrestlemania classic. Helped elevate the Intercontinental title and stole the show from an in ring perspective.
